A ThickSkin and Pentabus production...

An inspiring story about hope, love and belonging.

Brothers Mark and Tiny walk the shore of Seaton Carew in the North East. Their dad is dying, and their town is crumbling. Family rifts and political divides try to pull them apart, while a figure made of driftwood stalks the shore at night.

ThickSkin and Pentabus, two of the UK’s most prominent theatre companies, join forces to present Driftwood, by former Bruntwood Prize Winner, Tim Foley (Electric Rosary).

Directed by Elle While (The Globe’s Hamlet, West End revival) and Neil Bettles (How Not To Drown), this play perfectly balances a moving and at times funny story in a physical and visually striking production.

"Driftwood handles the complexities of the human heart and mind in a way that is sensitive, heartfelt and touching." One Show At A Time
